Buff Orpington BANTAM -- Upcoming Hatches

NOTE:  These are Bantam sized birds.  They have the same disposition and characteristics as the Standard sized, but are smaller and lay smaller eggs in lesser quantities than the standard sized Buff Orpington.

Buff Orpingtons were one of the very first chickens I purchased for my first flock.  They are gentle, loving, soft and wonderful birds.  They happily cluck the day away looking for bugs and worms, while being friendly to the other chickies.  They lay a tan, almost pinkish color of egg, and are considered good egg layers.  

If you are looking for a calm, friendly bird that may jump in your lap for snacks, and stay there to bask in the sunshine, this is the breed for you.
