French Cuckoo Marans -- Upcoming Hatch

French Cuckoo Marans are a fun bird to have in the backyard flock.  They look like a barred plymouth rock when adults, except they have fun feathered legs.  Like other Marans, they lay a dark brown egg...about 180-200 per year.

They become a large sized bird, and are very docile and calm.  They typically do not pick on other birds in a flock, and are a great breed to include if introducing to an existing flock, of course, when they are older :)

Marans are notoriously difficult to sex.  Our guarantee on this breed is only 75% accuracy.  Please take that into account with the quantities ordered, and have a plan for how to rehome any roosters.
