New Hampshire Red -- Upcoming Hatches

New Hampshire Reds are a great addition to add a bit of color to your flock.  They mature fairly quickly, and are sometimes used more for their meat than their eggs.  That being said, they do lay a modest amount of brown and dark brown eggs.  

This is a heavy chicken...growing upwards of 7 pounds!  They don't mind confinement, and will appreciate having a place to return to at night.  They also have a tendency to go broody, and make good mothers.
