Black Swedish Ducks -- Upcoming

Black Swedish ducks are very similar to the Blue Swedish ducks in personality, egg laying and size.  When they are bred with Silver (Splash) Swedish ducks, the offspring are Blue, Black and Splash. 

Similar to the Blue Swedish, these birds are very calm and friendly, making them fun to raise.  People love having them in their backyard because of their wonderful personalities.  While they do not lay a lot of eggs each year, 150-180, they do become quite large, usually over 7 pounds, and are sometimes used for meat.  They love to forage and eat up the bugs and insects in your yard, and do well in colder climates.
