Barred Plymouth Rock BANTAMS -- Upcoming Hatches

NOTE:  These are Bantam sized birds.  They have the same disposition and characteristics as the Standard sized, but are smaller and lay smaller eggs in lesser quantities than the standard sized Barred Rock.

Barred Rocks or Barred Plymouth Rocks as they are also known, is a very popular chickie to have with most backyard flocks.  They are soft, friendly birds who have a calm manner and don't seem to pick on the other birds in the flock.  They go about their business, laying eggs, talking social gossip with the other hens and scratching for bugs without causing much of a fuss.  

This friendly chickie also lays eggs throughout the year, and is considered an good layer of  brown / tan eggs.
