Blue Swedish Ducks -- Upcoming

The Blue Swedish duck is one of the prettiest ducks around and a wonderful addition to any backyard flock.  It has beautiful blue plumage with a small patch of white on the ducks.  Their coloring makes it difficult for predators to see.  They love to forage and eat up the bugs and insects in your yard.  

In addition, they are very calm and friendly, making them fun to raise.  People love having them in their backyard because of their wonderful personalities.  While they do not lay a lot of eggs each year, 150-180, they do become quite large, usually over 7 pounds, and are sometimes used for meat.  

Like blue plumage chickies, breeding can produce both blue, black and splash colors on the birds, depending upon the parent stock.  These ducks are also well adapted to colder climates.
